From August 15–17, 2025, Pomerania will become the stage for spectacular battles between drivers and machines during the ORLEN OIL Grand Prix Sopot-Gdynia. This event, which also serves as the 9th and 10th round of the Górskie Samochodowe Mistrzostwa Polski (GSMP), attracts crowds of fans, families, locals, and motorsport enthusiasts from across the country. What makes this race not only a prestigious sporting event but also an extraordinary spectacle that brings the entire motorsport community together?

Unique Track – Racing Through City Streets

One of the main reasons this race is so exciting is its location – a track measuring 3.050 km with an elevation change of 108 m, running along Malczewskiego Street in Sopot up to the Brodwino estate. The urban setting, where drivers tackle fast corners, technical sections, climbs, and descents, allows spectators to watch the action up close and feel the thrill of competition. Such a demanding and varied track requires top driving skills, focus, and courage.

Pure Adrenaline on Every Kilometer

Each corner, every acceleration, and every unexpected maneuver raises the tension. The starting grid features a diverse range of cars – from legendary 70-hp Fiat 126ps and historic Porsche 911s to modern Lamborghini Huracans and Mitsubishi race cars with over 1,000 horsepower. The race unites seasoned champions like Wojciech Myszkier (VW Golf), legends of historic racing such as Christian Zaleski and Krzysztof Mikulski (both driving Porsche 911s), and younger drivers fighting for their first GSMP victories.

The result is a spectacle full of sporting emotion, risk, courage, and surprises. Every race is a battle for seconds, smart strategies, and spectacular duels.

Event Program – Motorsport in Many Forms

Safety, Professionalism, and Prestige

City street racing requires complex logistics – during the event, there will be temporary traffic restrictions and changes to bus routes 181, 187, and 287 in Sopot. Thanks to coordination with state and local services, safety remains the top priority.

The event is held under the Honorary Patronage of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and local authorities. It is the most important motorsport event in Pomerania, promoting automotive culture, road safety, and physical activity among residents of the region.

The Atmosphere of Motorsport – Up Close

One of the biggest draws is the opportunity to see the cars up close, take part in technical inspections, and meet the drivers. The atmosphere in the service zone, during inspections, and in the side events feels like a true world-class motorsport festival. Spectators can admire the cars, talk to the drivers, join contests, and discover the behind-the-scenes work of racing teams.
